In presence of
Jacqueline Lentzou and Evita Andriopoulou, Tuesday November 3.
Jo, a rebellious teenager from Athens, first notices Phaedra during her music class. Charmed, she decides to ask her out. Amazing and poetic.
Drawing inspiration from an event that shook the Greek capital in 2008, Jacqueline Lentzou delivers a bold second feature film that dazzles with its inventive direction, which was acclaimed in the Orizzonti section at Venice. Although her day didn’t seem to hold anything exciting in store, Jo is captivated by the voice of Phaedra, a student at her school. The two grow closer, and a new chapter in Jo’s life, lyrical and unexpected, unfolds before her. With a camera that undulates and dances between bodies, the director takes her story of a teenager on a journey of self-discovery toward abstraction, enriching it with metaphysical questions to create one of the most unique aesthetic and sensory experiences of the year.
