In the fragmented memories of Ida, a pianist suffering from dementia, objects and recordings bring a shared life back to life. A tender exploration of fading memory and enduring love.
Ida, a 72-year-old pianist suffering from dementia, is gradually losing touch with reality. In the apartment where she shared her life with her husband Daniel, the contours of the world at first seem blurry and undefined. By handling objects and listening to old recordings, the audience gradually brings back memories, colors, and fragments of their life together. But behind Ida’s memories, Daniel’s struggle to preserve their bond also comes into focus. An interactive experience—which has won multiple awards at festivals—that delicately explores fading memory and enduring love.
