Discover the forgotten story of Alice Guy, an inspiring feminist figure and pioneer of fictional filmmaking, in a prestigious series that restores her rightful place in the history of cinema.

While the Lumière brothers and Georges Méliès are usually counted among the pioneers of film history, it is only recently that Alice Guy’s name has begun to be mentioned. Brought back into the spotlight by creators Claire Lemaréchal and Tim Loane, this modern-day heroine is portrayed by Bérénice Béjo in this remarkable odyssey through the early days of cinema. At the dawn of the 20th century, Alice takes her first steps in the film industry, which was then still in its infancy. Yet nothing comes easily to her in this male-dominated field: it is through her artistry and courage that she must assert herself as a filmmaker. The work, the struggles, and the extraordinary journey of a fabulous artist.
