A hit at the last Cannes Film Festival and critically acclaimed, Club Kid delves into the wild, nocturnal life of Peter, a promoter of trendy New York parties, which is turned upside down by the sudden arrival of a seven-year-old boy whom he discovers is his son.

Club Kid, Jodran Firstman’s debut feature film, in which he also plays the lead role, is a sensory, pop-infused, and moving work. Thanks to the 35mm film, which lends an organic quality to the imagery, the director succeeds in blending the smooth yet chaotic energy of New York nights with the sincerity and vulnerability of a budding paternal love. Both tender and effervescent, Club Kid introduces us to a fabulously endearing and unforgettable father-son duo in a highly original, queer narrative devoid of cynicism, whose uncompromising contemporary sensibility is sure to leave a lasting impression.
