In presence of
Julian Rosefeldt, Friday November 6. During a journey through New York, factory workers, homeless people, and bankers reflect on what led to the destruction of their world: capitalism. A satire with dystopian undertones.
An artist who has worked on several film projects, Julian Rosefeldt adapts one of his works into a gripping feature film, a scathing portrait of capitalism in our greedy Western societies. Through the lens of an ensemble narrative set in a New York in decline, those forgotten by the system, among others actors Giancarlo Esposito and Cate Blanchett, give voice to the reflections of thinkers, philosophers and artists. From Plato to Snoop Dogg and Karl Marx, this hybrid work of staggering depth is an immersive journey at the crossroads of the road movie and musical genres, set amid the impending ruins of the capitalist world.
