In a small town in the Argentine province, the lives of four young friends are turned upside down by the arrival of a well-connected former police officer and his wife. A film noir in the South American style.

1970s, in a working-class town tucked away in the middle of the Argentine pampas, Miguelito is living his teenage years to the fullest, surrounded by his group of friends. This idyll is shattered when Ramón Folcada, a retired police officer who served in the 1950s, arrives with his wife, Miranda, who quickly turns the young men’s heads. After befriending the couple, Miguelito becomes entangled in a tale of betrayal that will mark him forever. Argentine director who has already made a name for himself across numerous genres, Benjamín Naishtat adapts Hernán Ronsino’s eponymous novel (2009) to weave a personal journey into the country’s political history, one haunted by violence, repression, and the inability to forgive.
