Alizée, a young Canadian-Haitian woman, finds herself in the midst of an identity crisis as she struggles to juggle both her new job and her viral Instagram account. A sharp and modern work.
Recently hired at a news agency, Alizée must learn to cope with the pressure and everyday racism that prevail there. Her only refuge is her shared apartment, where she can spend time with her friends Esther and Jenny, who are also of African descent. But what no one knows is that Alizée runs a viral Instagram account known as “La Noire de service”. With a lighthearted and refreshing tone, this Canadian series exposes everyday discrimination through the eyes of three young women striving to express themselves freely in an unequal society. Like a social media vigilante, the character of Alizée—skillfully portrayed by Arielle Mailloux—faces the challenges of her fight as well as the struggle to find her own path.
