In presence of
Delphine Lehericey, Sunday November 1. While the trial of Patrick Haemers—who has become Belgium’s public enemy number one—is adjourned, his mother visits him to try to understand what led him astray.
To everyone’s surprise, the highly anticipated trial of the bank robber Patrick Haemers is suspended. He then receives a visit from his mother, Liliane, who has come to confront the malicious man her son has become. Torn between her love for him and the harsh reality, Liliane is also determined to protect her grandson Kevin from his father’s criminal ways. Looking back at one of the country’s most memorable cases, this Belgian series examines the figure of the notorious criminal without glorifying him, but by exploring the torment of cycles of violence. A gripping look back at the Haemers case, blending family history with crime chronicles.
