In an effort to bring prosperity to her household, a desperate mother strikes a deal with a malevolent entity… Nothing in this gripping thriller will go as planned!

Paolo Strippoli, a young Italian filmmaker known for his vivid horror universe, brings Jasmine Trinca and Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi together on screen in a biting reimagining of the Faustian pact. Alice receives an unexpected visit from her mother, Anna, who reveals her darkest secret: many years ago, when her daughter’s future was in danger, she struck a deal with a mysterious stranger before falling into a merciless spiral of misfortune. Building the tension to a crescendo, Strippoli shatters the ideal of the perfect middle-class family in a nightmarish spectacle. A whirlwind of audacity that will represent Italy at the upcoming Oscars.
