Years after disappearing from the screen, Emanuela Fanelli is tracked down by a team hoping to interview her. A biting and hilarious mockumentary imagining what became of the lead actress from the hit film There's Still Tomorrow (2023).

What on earth could have happened in the career of Italian actress Emanuela Fanelli? What scandal could have driven her to leave the wonderful world of comedy? In 2049, she lives in seclusion somewhere in the Aosta Valley, far from the cameras. A film crew is searching for her to make her the focus of their documentary and understand her downfall. Taking a sarcastic look at the dynamics of fame and the relationship to success in the world of audiovisual entertainment, Peccato takes the form of a sharp mockumentary, blending archival footage, fictional reenactments, and interviews. Emanuela Fanelli, who also created the series, plays herself—both in the past and the future—with a self-deprecating humor that blurs the lines between reality and fiction.
