Five Swiss ecosystems, five equilibriums to explore: Res Natura reveals how even our most seemingly insignificant actions can set off a cascade of consequences and disrupt the fragile balance of life.
What if the flutter of a butterfly’s wings could truly disrupt an entire ecosystem? Res Natura explores the fragile connections between our actions and the living world through five short scenarios focused on different ecological issues. Recreated using 3D scans of existing ecosystems in Switzerland, these environments become testing grounds where a seemingly innocuous interaction can trigger a cascade of unexpected consequences. Created by Julien Mercier and Mélanie Courtinat, this immersive experience invites visitors to observe, experiment, and measure the complex balance of life.
