In Athens in the early 1990s, Olga hatches a foolproof plan to rob a bank. A powerful look back at one of the greatest heists in Greek history.
Is there such a thing as the perfect heist? That is the question Olga—a discreet, solitary woman—will attempt to answer. After extensive research, she reaches out to Nikos, who is reeling from grief; Vakis, who is troubled by family problems; and Michalis, who is worried about his sick father. They all have one thing in common with Olga: the bank is the source of their misfortune, and they are determined to seek justice. By fictionalizing the gray areas surrounding one of the most significant European criminal events of the late 20th century, this Greek series accurately traces the journeys of ordinary people driven to the brink by the system’s injustice. A story as captivating as it is outrageous, and one that packs a powerful punch.
