A multifaceted personality—known as an actress, screenwriter, and television host—Victoria Martín has adapted her own 2023 novel into a series, blending delightfully cynical wit with biting black humor. Bárbara, a TV screenwriter addicted to medication and haunted by a little voice in her head, attends—along with Maca, an actress forced to work as a waitress—the baby shower of their friend Elena, who is married to a 60-year-old man. As the reunion takes an explosive turn, the monotonous little world of the three friends is turned upside down. With a mischievous take on the concerns of thirty-somethings, this series subtly subverts conventions to showcase modern, sharp-tongued female characters.
