SEPHIROT®: THE HYPATIA EQUATION is a cross-media interactive performance that blends VR, interactive storytelling, RPG and theatre. It’s 425 AD. Ten years have passed since Hypatia’s death in Alexandria. Participants take on the roles of her former students, travelling alongside two performers who embody two of her companions: the Greek and the Herculean.

In search of

Building on a tested format already presented across Italy, the project is now preparing for its international premiere. We are seeking European co-producers, presenting venues and distribution partners to provide co-financing, local production support and develop future touring opportunities.

Carla Andolina

Carla Andolina, performer and author, has been role-playing for as long as she can remember—first for fun, then professionally. Her practice explores performative role-playing games, interactive storytelling and VR theatre. She founded the startup CHRONES. and worked with SEPHIROT®, a system for interactive performances, developing The Wayward Daughter (2022) and Gilgamesh (2025). She also created the video installation else_or the january blues.
