The world is a happy place now since sheep have domesticated humans! At least, that’s what a peaceful flock of sheep thinks as they patiently wait to be taken to the idyllic pastures of Obermoser. Oliver, a resourceful and somewhat conspiracy-minded sheep, uncovers the deception: the flock is about to be eaten! A project as off-the-wall as it is inventive, this Austrian series by Leni Gruber and Alex Reinberg blends offbeat humor, special effects, and—of course—a gaggle of sheep with strong personalities in an animal fable that isn’t afraid to confront human cruelty. Like a cynical and comical reimagining of Babe (1995), Sheep unfolds with a rich and endearing imagination.
