After his wife’s death, Guan discovers her unfinished novel, intertwining the clouded leopard with the sacred origin myth of the Rukai. Guided by her words, he embarks on a surreal journey through the mountains and his wife’s subconscious, navigating grief and memory in search of answers, healing and connection.

Singing Chen
Singing Chen is a Taiwanese filmmaker whose work spans fiction, documentary, and virtual reality. Her films have been screened at the Berlinale and the Venice Film Festival, among other venues, and she explores space, movement, and the stories of marginalized characters. Her VR experience The Man Who Couldn’t Leave won the Grand Prize at Venice Immersive in 2022. Her new project, The Clouds Are Two Thousand Meters Up, continues her exploration of the medium.
