Based on the director's family history, The Passage is an immersive VR experience tracing one family's journey through Nazi Germany. Through embodiment and interaction, the audience moves through three cycles, shifting from witness to shadow to accused. The project explores transgenerational trauma within the context of European history.

In search of

Preparing for production in mid-2027, the project is seeking European co-producers to close its financing and strengthen its creative and technical pipeline. Priority is given to partners in Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland, ideally with connections to museums, institutions and immersive festivals.

Nicole Strasser

Nicole C. Strasser is a multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of immersive media, film, XR, and audiovisual installation. As a director, she develops and realises her own projects in collaboration with performance artists, programmers, and media artists, including the interactive exhibition Cosmic Hive (2020), the VR live performance Hyperreality (2022), and the VR rhythm game Dance of Drauganna, premiering in 2026.
